A former legal representative for Jeffrey Epstein has stated that President Donald Trump was never implicated in any of the alleged activities tied to the disgraced financier. David Schoen, who served as Epstein’s attorney during the final weeks before he died in 2019, confirmed that no damaging information had ever been linked to Trump, even after direct inquiry.

Following the Justice Department’s recent announcement that there is no client list and that Epstein’s death was determined to be a suicide, Schoen’s comments came up again in the midst of fresh controversy. The alleged leak of the document to Axios rekindled long-standing apprehensions among conservatives, particularly among those who have called for further openness over Epstein’s connections to political power.

Schoen had publicly affirmed in June that Epstein never possessed any incriminating material involving Trump. His direct conversations with the accused trafficker were cited as the basis for that assertion, further discrediting narratives pushed by Trump’s political opponents.

Despite these claims, Trump supporters are nonetheless becoming increasingly irate when the administration publicly supported Attorney General Pam Bondi. Many members of the MAGA base have voiced their displeasure with the way the case has been handled, especially in light of Bondi’s Justice Department’s insistence that there was never a client list, which runs counter to years of conjecture and expectations that Epstein’s network would eventually be fully revealed.

The Epstein scandal, which has continued to haunt political discourse since the financier’s arrest and subsequent death, remains a focal point for conservative activists who believe a broader cover-up is taking place. A significant portion of Trump’s base has rejected the official suicide ruling, suspecting foul play and shielding of powerful figures potentially implicated in Epstein’s criminal enterprise.

Reports from Fox News indicated internal tensions within federal law enforcement, as concerns about transparency have reportedly led to disputes between senior officials. One such report suggested that FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino had raised objections over the lack of disclosures, even threatening resignation during private discussions with Bondi.

Calls for accountability were echoed by figures aligned with Trump’s first administration, who stressed that failing to address Epstein-related concerns would make it more difficult to rally support behind other core policy battles.

Epstein, known for his connections with global elites and prior convictions related to underage prostitution, had been arrested once again in 2019 on federal sex trafficking charges. His death inside a Manhattan detention facility was officially declared a suicide, although widespread skepticism persists, especially among conservatives who see the circumstances as suspicious.

Over the weekend, President Trump used his Truth Social platform to reaffirm his support for Bondi, urging unity within the MAGA movement and expressing concern over internal divisions. He dismissed repeated efforts by political opponents to use the Epstein case as a tool against him, questioning why supposed incriminating materials had never been used by adversaries if they truly existed.

The president emphasized that the renewed attention on the matter appeared designed to distract and divide the movement, pointing instead to the role of left-wing operatives and previous administrations in shaping the narrative surrounding Epstein’s files. For now, no further information from the Department of Justice or the FBI has been made available. But the MAGA base appears unlikely to drop the matter, viewing it as a key litmus test for transparency, justice, and trust in federal institutions.
