An investigation has been opened by the FBI after the Secret Service identified a hunting stand with a direct line of sight to the area where President Donald Trump exits Air Force One in Palm Beach. Reports indicate that the structure had been in place for several months prior to its discovery. FBI Director Kash Patel stated that no individuals were present when the stand was identified and that the bureau had assumed the investigatory lead, deploying resources to collect evidence and analyze relevant cell phone data.

Security protocols were reportedly heightened following the discovery. Trump is said to have boarded Air Force One via a smaller staircase on Sunday due to increased measures implemented at Palm Beach International Airport. The Secret Service confirmed that the incident was identified during advance security preparations, and that no movement of the president was disrupted.

The investigation follows recent attempts on Trump’s life in Palm Beach. Weeks earlier, Ryan Routh was convicted of attempting to assassinate Trump on a golf course, having set up a sniper position before being apprehended by the Secret Service.

Additionally, videos surfaced showing Thomas Crooks, another attempted assassin, dry-firing a handgun in a tactical stance inside his bedroom. The footage, reportedly obtained by conservative commentator Candace Owens, depicted Crooks rehearsing with a handgun near a target and appeared to illustrate a fixation on guns and assassination plots. The FBI reported that Crooks’ digital devices contained searches related to the assassination of President Kennedy just one week prior to his attempt on Trump.
The Secret Service and FBI are working closely with local law enforcement in Palm Beach County as the investigation continues, highlighting the ongoing importance of layered security measures to protect the president.
