Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky indicated a willingness to consider territorial concessions as part of a peace agreement amid the ongoing conflict with Russia. However, he emphasized that such a deal would hinge on specific conditions, including NATO membership for regions of Ukraine not under Russian control.
Zelensky explained that securing NATO membership for Ukrainian-controlled territories would be a critical step in halting the active phase of the war. He suggested that incorporating these areas into the alliance would provide protection, while the diplomatically recovering occupied territories could be pursued as a subsequent objective.
