Donald Trump emerged victorious over Kamala Harris in the presidential election, delivering a shocking outcome to the liberal elites of Hollywood, many of whom had pledged to leave the U.S. if Trump were to win again.
Hollywood’s left-wing elites were so disconnected from reality that they believed there was no possibility of a Trump victory. Their understanding of the desires and needs of everyday Americans was lacking.

For many celebrities, the fact that Trump not only defeated Harris in the Electoral College but also won the popular vote came as an unpleasant surprise. However, there was no indication that these stars would follow through with their promises to leave the country.

The prospect of Cher and Streisand no longer residing in the U.S. was viewed by some as a pleasant thought. If they were genuinely interested in keeping their promises and leaving, some would even be willing to assist them in packing their belongings.

Another celebrity who had vowed to leave the U.S. if Trump were elected was Sharon Stone, known for her roles in Basic Instinct and Casino. She had mentioned in July that she was considering purchasing a house in Italy, describing it as a sensible choice given the political climate. Stone stated that it was the first time in her life that she had seen someone running for office with a platform rooted in hate and oppression. However, like Cher and Streisand, Stone had made no further comments about following through on her pledge after Trump’s victory.
Doug Eldridge, the founder of Achilles PR, spoke out on the recurring phenomenon of celebrities promising to leave the country following an election outcome. He noted that these promises rarely materialize. Eldridge explained that every election cycle, the same rhetoric is recycled by celebrities, but it has become a joke at this point, characterized by all talk, no walk.

Hollywood’s liberal elites have consistently shown disdain for Trump because, unlike Democratic presidents such as Barack Obama and Joe Biden, he does not prioritize them. Instead, Trump focuses on improving the lives of working-class Americans across the country, a stance that does not resonate with many Hollywood stars who prefer to make political matters about themselves. Fortunately, Trump remains unfazed by their criticisms.
Only time will tell whether Cher, Streisand, Stone and their fellow liberal elites will fulfill their promises to leave Trump’s America. While it would be a surprise if they did, it certainly wouldn’t be met with disappointment.
