Texas Republican Senator Ted Cruz recently stressed the importance of focusing on Vice President Kamala Harris’ past statements, policy positions, and rhetoric ahead of the election. He suggested voters need to be reminded of their radical nature. Cruz shared these views after Donald Trump debated with Harris during an interview with Fox News host Sean Hannity.

Hannity brought up several contentious matters about Harris, such as her advocacy of a Minnesota bail fund shortly after a police precinct was burnt, her support for defunding the police, and her response was also about the 2020 events. He also addressed her opinions on the Green New Deal, inflation, and border security. In response, Cruz stated that these measures are unpopular in Texas and stressed that, as Election Day draws near, the Trump team ought to concentrate on presenting Harris’ record to Texans.

Cruz particularly pointed out Harris’ stance on abortion. He recalled a time when she denied supporting late-term abortions but noted that she had backed legislation allowing abortion until the moment of birth. He also referenced Harris’ opposition to the Born-Alive Infant Protection Act, which aimed to protect infants born alive during attempted abortions. For Cruz, Harris’ voting record on these issues needs to be consistently highlighted.

On crime and immigration, Cruz criticized Harris’ support for defunding the police and her comparison of ICE to the Ku Klux Klan. He stressed that mainstream media outlets like ABC are unlikely to expose these aspects of Harris’ record. Therefore, Cruz argued that the Trump campaign must take the lead in presenting the facts. He drew parallels between Harris and his political opponent, Colin Allred, claiming that both support open borders, excessive government spending, and defunding law enforcement.

Cruz further accused Harris and his opponent of hypocrisy, pointing out that while they opposed Donald Trump’s border wall throughout their careers, they are now featuring it in their campaign ads. He emphasized the need for the Trump campaign to expose this contradiction and hold Harris accountable for her actions.

Robert F. Kennedy also criticized Harris and the ABC moderators following her debate with Trump later on. Speaking on Newsmax TV, Kennedy noted that key issues like inflation and the economy were ignored. He highlighted the financial struggles Americans face, including unaffordable housing, rising grocery prices, and seniors cutting back on prescriptions to afford food and fuel. Kennedy argued that these economic concerns were central to the election, yet Harris failed to address them during the debate.
