President Biden and Kamala Harris Face Backlash

On Friday, a photo that was widely reported to be a selfie shot by Vice President Kamala Harris and President Joe Biden while they were in the car on their way to lunch was met with much ridicule and outrage online. The mockery comes at a time when approval ratings for both Biden and Harris’s jobs are at an all-time low, especially among Democratic supporters.

According to a poll conducted by Monmouth University in March, approval of Joe Biden’s work performance remained unchanged, whereas Harris’s popularity rating has been consistently low as the election in 2024 draws closer. According to a poll released on Tuesday, only 41% of Americans are happy with President Joe Biden’s performance thus far, while 51% are unhappy; this is a little drop from Biden’s 43% approval rating in January.

The survey, which was released on Tuesday, finds that 41% of Americans approve of Biden’s performance as vice president, while 51% disagree. According to NBC News, a little more than a third of those polled, or 36%, are in favor of Harris continuing in her role as vice president, while 53% are opposed to it.

But Democrats continue to give high scores to Biden and Harris, even as Biden prepares for what is widely believed to be the opening of his re-election campaign this spring. While only 16% of Democrats have a negative opinion of Harris, 76% have a positive opinion of her, and just 9% have a negative opinion of Joe Biden’s role as president, according to the outlet.

Patrick Murray, director of the Monmouth University Polling Institute, said in a statement, That There are some differences between the two, but on the whole, rank-and-file Democrats generally approve of both Trump and his vice president. In a series of polls conducted at the beginning of March, it was discovered that a majority of people do not want Biden to seek reelection in 2024.

This was yet another piece of bad news for Biden. According to the findings of a recent poll conducted by Yahoo News and YouGov, the vast majority of registered voters believe that Joe Biden is “too old for another term” in government. The age of the president, who is 80 years old, was cited as a concern by 68% of respondents, which is over seven in ten people.

Worse still, the results of the poll suggest that a greater number of Democrats concur with that evaluation. About 48% of Democratic voters think that Joe Biden’s age is a problem, while only 34% of Democratic voters believe that they do not care about how old the president is.
