Governor Ron DeSantis Has Shaken up Supreme Court

The Democrats are very frustrated with the decisions that the Supreme Court has been making recently. As a direct result of previous President Trump’s appointments, the court currently has a conservative majority of 6-3. The Democratic Party has been making ridiculous accusations against Justice Clarence Thomas and others in an effort to destabilize the current situation.

They appear to believe that they can coerce the court into complying with their whims and demands. After 2024, though, there is a possibility that they will have even greater cause for alarm. Ron DeSantis, the incumbent governor of Florida, has his eye on the future. If a Republican is successful in retaking the White House, that individual may have the opportunity to have a significant influence on the Supreme Court of the United States. And just now, the governor of Florida speculated on what might take place during the next quarter-century.

DeSantis stated that if the next president is a Republican who serves for two terms, then the Supreme Court might have a conservative majority of 7-2 for the next quarter of a century if that president is a Republican. Samuel Alito and Clarence Thomas, two of the most respected justices on the court, have reached the middle of their seventies.

It is possible that they will stop working within the next four years and retire. That way, the incoming president would have the opportunity to replace them. However, only a Republican president could find constitutionally sound jurists to occupy their seats in the Supreme Court. However, after around eight years, there is a possibility that two additional justices will be considering retirement.

Chief Justice John Roberts, a judge who was appointed by George W. Bush, is currently in his sixties. Sonia Sotomayor, who was appointed by Obama, is another example. The swing vote that John Roberts casts is typically in favor of the liberal camp. And it goes without saying that Sotomayor is a liberal. Both might have an interest in coming back within the next eight years.

If we had a Republican president in his second term, he would be able to locate two conservative justices to replace the ones who lean more toward the liberal side of the political spectrum. In other words, we would have a conservative majority of 7-2 on the Supreme Court, which is the kind of majority that would make those on the far left quake in their boots.

In addition, if the president chooses a justice who is young enough, that person could end up serving for 25 years or even longer. This is not even close to being a long shot. If we elect someone else to take Biden’s place, that person might very well be in charge of this. However, this requires a large turnout at the polls and the assurance that Sleepy Joe would be removed from office by January 2025.
