A Legendary Football Star Goes Anti-Woke

The majority of high-profile celebrities, for the most part, are in complete agreement with the liberal rule. Icons of sports and Hollywood entertainment generally align themselves with the radical left. Having said that, there are a few significant instances that prove the rule wrong.

Performers in the entertainment industry such as James Woods and Patricia Heaton, as well as artists such as Kid Rock and Ted Nugent, frequently voice their opposition to the increasingly radical liberal agenda.

The illustrious quarterback Brett Favre is another name that should be added to the list. When it comes to the touchy topic of transgenderism, Favre is unafraid to say what’s on his mind, and he definitely doesn’t waver when giving his opinion on the matter. It is inevitable that some on the political left will label what he is saying as hate speech because he is speaking his thoughts.

The former Green Bay Packers quarterback was a guest on the podcast Fearless hosted by Jason Whitlock. During their conversation, they discussed a transgender guy who used the restroom designated for women. The topic of discussion naturally went to whether or not transgender men should be allowed to play in sports traditionally reserved for women.

Whitlock and Favre both disapprove of the concept, and Favre claims that the only reason athletes aren’t speaking out is because they are afraid of what it’ll do to their careers. Concerning the latter matter, several notable athletes, such as the illustrious tennis player Martina Navratilova, have expressed their opposition to the concept, arguing that it is fundamentally discriminatory against genuine female athletes.

As for Favre, he condemns the left’s effort by using phrases such as scary and crazy in his language. People like Martina Navratilova, who have openly declared that they are feminists despite their sexual orientation, are another factor that should be taken into consideration. Furthermore, they do not in any way endorse this position.

Stop explaining feminism to feminists, she stated in a post that went viral. Although Favre is not a woman, he supports women’s rights in sports, including their entitlement to compete exclusively against members of their own gender and only against other members of their own gender.

Those on the left have a simple response for those who disagree with their rhetoric; they label them transphobic. This, despite the fact that biology has been telling us for hundreds of years that this is not the case. Favre, Navratilova, and many more aren’t afraid to speak out, but their careers in sports are over: as Favre has stated, athletes who are still in the prime of their careers are undoubtedly hesitant to come forward.
