🚗 Florida is going to stop changing driver's license genders. Before granting a license, the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles will demand confirmation of biological sex, labeling the act of misrepresenting one's gender as "fraud." Transgender activists staged "die-ins" outside DMV offices to protest the change, posing as the dead.

❗️In January, almost 250K illegal immigrants crossed the border. According to U.S. Customs and Border Protection, there were around 243,000 unlawful incursions into the country in just January. While most entered illegally through the southern border, a startling 15,802 entries arrived over the Canadian border—the highest number of unlawful crossings in a single month ever recorded.

🪖 The difficulty in military recruitment is due to a shortage of white recruits. There has been a severe shortage of recruits for the US military. The primary cause is the 35% decrease in white recruits over the previous five years due to issues with immunizations, awakened culture, and general military mistrust. In the meantime, more minorities are being enlisted in all military branches.

📈 The number of transgender and gender nonconforming students at UCal has tripled. According to a survey, the number of students who identify as transgender or gender nonconforming on University of California campuses has exceeded 2,000. This is a threefold increase from 2019 — from 0.2 percent to nearly 2 percent. Some have linked this phenomenon to increased acceptance, but others believe it is proof of a social contagion.

Progressive politics is threatened by powerful centrist groups

Here is what's going on: In key cities, centrist opposition is mounting waves of challenges for Progressive Democrats, revealing a widening divide between the Left's moderate and progressive wings.

Centrists target progressive cities: Influential centrist groups seek to subvert the radical politics of San Francisco, one of the nation's most progressive cities, by organizing the election of candidates who are more moderately aligned and who place a higher priority on law and order, reduced taxes, and less bureaucracy.

  • Ghost challengers: Progressives have expressed a strong worry about New York City and have called for a more overtly leftist candidate to run against the presumed moderate incumbent mayor, Eric Adams, although one has not yet been discovered.

Expanded funding from donors: This pattern is not exclusive to New York City or San Francisco. A wave of financial backing for moderates swings the 2024 primary balance, following the $21 million raised by the third-party group No Labels in 2022, which has already made it onto ballots in 12 states.

  • Zoom out: A Gallup survey indicates that 63 percent of American people believe there should be a third major political party.

Why it is important: In a Democrat Party that is becoming more and more split, progressive lawmakers around the nation with strong ideological stances, such as "The Squad," are risking their standing.

  • A historical model: Similar waves of radical Democrats from the "New Left" influenced mainstream Democratic positions in the 1960s, leading to unsuccessful reform that eventually ushered in the Reagan era.

Long overdue: A large number of people in progressive-controlled cities are angry about the "limousine politics" of a privileged class that is disconnected from the everyday lives of Americans.

Taylor Swift and Soros to influence 2024

Here is what's going on: the place is that younger voters are abandoning Biden. Democrats are hoping that, despite their past turmoil, two of the most powerful people in America, Taylor Swift and George Soros, could tip the scales in favor of Biden in the 2024 election as support from the group that helped him win in 2020 declines.

Taylor Swift: supported by Soros Taylor Swift is the focus of Democrats who believe she will be crucial to winning this year's elections. With over 20% of respondents admitting they will probably vote for politicians Swift endorses, Democrats are hoping to use the celebrity's appeal to increase support for Biden.

George Soros: The billionaire Hungarian-American is committed to providing millions of dollars to support left-leaning political initiatives and politicians to further the progressive movement in the US.

Why it’s important: To boost support for Democratic objectives, George Soros's Open Society Foundation recently gave $50 million to promote civic involvement among women and young people, a population that includes Swift followers.

  • But here's the drama: in 2019, without Swift's knowledge, the Soros family paid $300 million to acquire her entire discography through a partnership with her former manager, Scooter Braun.

  • Shots fired: Swift chastised the Soros family for supporting the agreement that ended her music ownership at the 2019 Billboard Women in Music Event. Later, she criticized the gang for their "shameless greed" on Instagram.

Zoom out: Although using different strategies, Democrats are on the pair to re-elect Biden in 2024: Soros finances campaign activities, while the pop sensation encourages her horde of Swifties to cast ballots.
