Everything you need to know

⚖️ Biden may remove Texas' border wire, according to a ruling by the Supreme Court. The Department of Homeland Security may remove razor wire that the state of Texas had erected along portions of the U.S./Mexico border, the Supreme Court ruled in a divided 5-4 ruling. The Biden administration has consistently resisted Texas's efforts to prevent unauthorized immigration into its borders. The Supreme Court simply held that the Biden administration may remove the wire while the issue proceeds through lower courts, without rendering a decision on the legality of Texas's conduct.

🪖 An analysis reveals that the majority of Hamas's forces are dormant. According to an IDF examination of Hamas casualty figures, around 60% of the group has been killed, detained, or injured since Israel launched its counteroffensive into Gaza. The Wall Street Journal said that 30% of Hamas soldiers had died, although they did not include those who were arrested or injured.

🗂 On January 6, the Democratic committee members erased 117 encrypted files. According to sources, the House Jan. 6 committee, which is chaired by Democrats, erased more than 100 encrypted files in the first few days of January 2023. This occurred just before they were about to be handed over to the Republicans, who had just taken over the House of Representatives. Now that the material has been retrieved, Republicans are requesting passwords to access the files.

🗳 Nikki Haley is wooing the female voter base. It seems obvious that Nikki Haley's best chance of being the GOP nominee is to win the New Hampshire primary. Her team is now attempting to concentrate all of their efforts on wooing female voters out of desperation. Her efforts, however, might come too little, too late, as polls indicate that Trump will win today's primary by a wide margin.

🇺🇸 TRENDING IN AMERICA

Three years have passed since the border opened

Here is what's going on: Of the 3.1 million persons who sought to enter the United States illegally in 2023, about 80% succeeded. A little over 1.5 million were apprehended, given a court date, and then allowed to enter the nation; some of them applied for asylum. Another 600,000 managed to elude border security; another 300,000 were "paroled," and 565,000 were deported.

Definition of parole: It is a system that allows someone to be temporarily permitted into the nation for either public or humanitarian reasons. It is intended to be used sparingly and on an individual basis. But under this policy, the Biden administration unilaterally enlarged eligibility by admitting Afghans, Venezuelans, Cubans, Ukrainians, and others.

  • Parole, however, is only applicable in "emergent, individual, and isolated situations, such as in the case of an alien who requires immediate medical attention, and not for the immigration of classes or groups outside the limit of the law," according to a 1982 explanation of the statute.

Asylum: What is it? It serves as a safety net for those who fear retaliation from their government. But as time has gone on, the list of requirements has grown to cover a greater variety of risks, such gang violence or discrimination. The ceiling on asylum applications was more than doubled during the Biden administration.

  • In actuality, migrants are frequently counseled to surrender at ports of entry and file for asylum since, in the interim, they may be let into the nation until their court appearance, which may come years later.

  • A sharp rise: from less than 100,000 in 2021 to nearly 500,000 in 2023, asylum requests increased dramatically.

Consequences: Texas can no longer handle the flood of people on its own. Tens of thousands of migrants were sent to Chicago and New York, forcing those cities to uphold their "sanctuary" policies and spend large sums of tax money on feeding and housing the migrants at the expense of the city's impoverished citizens.

🏛 WASHINGTON D.C

Why there are doubts in the government's account of the pipe bombs on January 6

The Scoop: More information regarding the two pipe bombs that were detonated on January 6, 2021, close to the Republican and Democratic party buildings in Washington, D.C., has surfaced. Critiques of the official narrative put out by the US government are raised by video footage and investigative reports.

Why it is important: Law enforcement organizations have fought openness about a number of issues related to January 6, including their direct participation and prior knowledge. The idea that there is a conspiracy to destabilize and demonize conservatives is starting to hold more weight.

Right from the start: On the evening of January 5, an unidentified suspect detonated bombs at the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and Republican National Committee (RNC) offices. Vice President Kamala Harris was inside the DNC building the following day when a civilian and a "passerby" reported the devices.

In the footage: The individual who reported the DNC bomb—which was outside next to a bench—is seen in the video approaching and alerting neighboring police officers and Secret Service agents. After eating their lunch, the officers let the citizens continue to pass. They don't try to move Harris to safety.

  • Why that is peculiar: Subsequently, federal agents informed the public that the device was "live," potentially lethal, and required disarmament. However, those in charge of the scene pretended there was no danger.

Dubious leadership: The former FBI assistant director who looked into the incident, Steven D'Antuono, had led an entrapment operation against an anti-government organization in Michigan. Before being apprehended, D'Antuono's informants and undercover operatives assisted extremists in plotting illegal activities, such as destroying a bridge. D'Antuono has not yet provided Congress with comprehensive explanations regarding the bomb plot that took place on his watch on January 6.

  • Further government ties: Congressional investigators revealed that the individual who discovered the DNC explosives was a Capitol police officer wearing plain clothes, not just any "passerby." The civilian who discovered the RNC device, meantime, is employed by a left-wing group connected to federal agencies.

In summary, authorities asserted that the bombing incident diverted attention from the Capitol building's security, thus enabling a more disorderly riot. However, the casual conduct at the scene and everyone's government connections strongly point to a manufactured danger intended to inflate the scope of the "insurrection."
