♽️ Texas voters increase their gas spending. A measure on the ballot that creates a state-run energy fund to improve the infrastructure of the state's natural gas power plants was approved by voters in Texas. The grid's present reliance on wind power is expected to be stabilized by the new gas-focused infrastructure. The 2021 Texas Freeze, which destroyed the grid years ago, is the source of the movement.

🏛️ Supreme Court determines 2A limitations. It is anticipated that the Supreme Court will maintain a federal ban on the possession of firearms by those accused of domestic violence. The federal restriction was not too problematic for conservative Justices Neil Gorsuch and Amy Coney Barrett, who have previously expressed disapproval of red-flag rules.

🗳️ In New York, Republicans did well. Democrats lost elections to Republicans in New York over the past two years, despite their strong national performance. In addition to public safety and financial concerns, New York has been dealing with a migrant crisis brought on by Democrats. Democrats were not motivated to support abortion on the ballot.

The Future of Polish Politics

Here is what’s going on: The opposition liberal party won the most recent elections in Poland. The goal of the newly formed ruling coalition was to reverse the gains made by the extreme conservative Law and Justice Party.

  • A liberal victory? Although the media has praised the opposition's prime minister candidate, Donald Tusk, who will lead a politically loose alliance and is far less confrontational than the current administration, there is reason to believe that not much will change.

To recap: Since 2015, the Law and Justice Party (PiS in Polish) has been in power. During that period, it oversaw a historic period of economic growth, established an almost comprehensive ban on abortion, which is seen to have played a significant role in this year's elections, and mobilized the European Union to resist Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

Why it's important: The PiS administration was against progressive EU initiatives on climate change and other related topics. This direction will probably be changed by the incoming administration, providing the union with more leeway.

  • Zoom out: The right-wing movement has grown throughout the European Union, but not much else may change given that the Euroskeptic bloc recently acquired Slovakia despite having lost Poland.

FBI looks into a claim that Hamas was near the US border

Here is what’s going on: In response to a Texas journalist's allegations that Hamas terrorists illegally entered the United States over Mexico's southern border, the FBI has made numerous attempts to speak with her. This indicates that the agency is worried about potential terror threats to the country following Hamas strikes on Israel.

Background: In October, writer and conservative activist Sarah Fields said that members of Hamas had entered the United States illegally from a training facility in Matamoros, Mexico. Fields insist on an anonymous source at the border even though she hasn't provided any proof, despite the fact that some media fact-checkers have declared the report to be untrue.

Notable: Fields recently said that FBI agents had paid him a visit and requested a private meeting, and he uploaded phone and video data. Even though DHS Secretary Mayorkas recently stated in testimony that he was not aware of any Hamas members entering the country, the government is demonstrating interest in the organization and looking into anything war or border-related.

Why it's important: The FBI made it clear that terror strikes in the United States are likely to be sparked by the Israel-Hamas conflict. Recent information from the Department of Homeland Security suggests that members of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah, and Hamas would attempt to enter the US illegally through Mexico.

  • In the south: The number of Palestinians residing in Latin America is estimated to be 700,000. It is known that in the past, Hezbollah, Hamas, and Al Qaeda members were active in South America.

  • Migration wave: Although President Biden's border patrol agents have apprehended a record number of terror suspects, they have also lost close to 1.7 million "gotaways."

Coordination between journalists and Hamas

Here is what's going on: Media watchdog HonestReporting discovered that during the early hours of the October 7th Hamas jihadist onslaught, freelance photojournalists from Gaza who were employed by organizations including the Associated Press, CNN, New York Times, and Reuters took pictures at the Gaza border as well as within Israeli territory.

Furthermore: Images included a burning Israeli tank, a burning house in Kfar Aza Kibbutz, Palestinians breaking over the Israeli border barrier, elderly people being abducted, an Israeli soldier being lynched, and the lifeless, nude body of the man who is now identified as Shany Louk.

  • Not to be missed: During the attack, it seems that these photojournalists from Gaza participated in the unauthorized breaching of the Israeli border fence.

And yet more: Photojournalist Hassan Eslaiah of CNN and AP, who covered events from inside Israel, posted videos of himself without a helmet or press vest and took a selfie. Later, a picture of him receiving a peck on the cheek from top Hamas commander and mastermind of the October 7 attack, Yahya Sinwar, appeared again. CNN sacked him a while back.

  • Context: It was recently made public that in 2021, Hamas agents shared a facility with the Associated Press. These operatives would routinely intimidate and harass the journalists, obstructing their ability to conduct unbiased reporting.

Uncertainty remains: some claim that these photojournalists had prior coordination with Hamas. The images were shot within a few hours of the first Israeli border breach, according to the AP website. Both the AP and Reuters have refuted any allegations of collaboration.

The 2018 CCP-sponsored biopharmaceutical symposium in China, organized by Vivek Ramaswamy, was scrutinized by National Review.

The leader of OpenAI, Sam Altman, is openly searching for a Democratic opponent to Joe Biden. He believes it to be Dean Philips.

The largest supporter of Ron DeSantis is thinking about switching to Trump.

Since the commencement of the battle with Hamas, Americans are more likely to characterize Israel as an ally, but many are beginning to feel that Israel has gone too far in responding to the conflict.

Biden's economic agenda, which emphasizes lowering inflation, has angered voters since they would prefer price reductions, which are not occurring.

Benjamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister, hinted that Israel would win the battle and take control of Gaza.
