Another Catholic family is raided by the FBI

Here is what’s going on: According to his father, Jeremiah Rufini, the FBI surveilled a Catholic teenager who posted "offensive memes" on internet group chats before raiding his family's Connecticut home. Rufini stated on a fundraising page that this resulted in charges against family members and a state-level probe.

Capture: According to Rufini, his 15-year-old son participated in "group chats targeting teenage traditionalist Catholics with extreme political content" in private. According to Rufini, people questioned the youngster "if he had access to guns" and requested for images of the family's weapons. The father thinks the conversations might have been "operated" by government agents.

The assault: According to Rufini, "We were handcuffed, locked in a van, and dragged out of our home at gunpoint while [the FBI] searched our home." Although the bureau "lost interest" in the youngster and could not find any indication that he would commit violence, Rufini claims the case led to more state-level inquiries. According to the family's fundraising page, paying bills has become difficult due to legal expenditures.

  • As of right now, Rufini and his brother are charged with endangering a kid, according to court documents. According to Rufini, the state believes they were aware of his son's "extremism" and that their teaching him to shoot constitutes their alleged offense. He claims the youngster was also found guilty of disrupting the peace.

Why this is important: The FBI under President Joe Biden has already looked into allegations of "radical traditionalist Catholic ideology" in Virginia churches; nevertheless, the bureau has pledged to stop allowing such politically charged inquiries in the future. According to Rufini's account, there is a deep-seated animosity for religious conservatives.

Sources claim that the FBI is biased against Republicans

Here is what’s going on: New whistleblowers informed the House that the FBI targets conservative-leaning officers and obtains their security clearances through biased investigations. They said that this is against national security policy.

Double standard: Top FBI officials, according to whistleblowers, target any employee "with an unacceptable political affiliation or belief," which primarily refers to Christians, Republicans, and those who doubt the COVID-19 vaccination.

  • Bad bureau: According to sources, agents accused of worse behavior, like as domestic abuse, are spared from prosecution, but the FBI threatens security clearances over trivial allegations or mere suspicions.

Aggression: In an attempt to get them dismissed, the whistleblowers said that certain FBI supervisors had branded agents who had served in the armed forces as "disloyal to the United States." They were allegedly singled out by the bureau because of their perceived allegiance to the late President Donald Trump, their refusal to receive COVID-19 masks and vaccinations, and their religious convictions.

Why this is important: Under President Joe Biden, it could be simple to lose track of the number of whistleblower complaints against the FBI and Department of Justice. Any allegation of partisanship is forcefully refuted by the organization. Its examination of orthodox Catholics and portrayal of Trump supporters as a major domestic terror danger, however, undermine its argument.

Media allies: The FBI punished three whistleblowers who came forward earlier this year, citing security concerns. Legacy media attacked their legitimacy in response. According to the most recent revelations, the bureau knew that at least one of them was innocent, but an official claimed he intended to "screw" him by suspending him.
