A backpack believed to belong to the killer of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was discovered in Central Park on Friday, containing Monopoly money, according to sources via ABC News. The 50-year-old Thompson was shot and killed outside the Hilton Hotel in Midtown Manhattan just after 6:45 a.m. on Wednesday.

According to Breitbart News, the police discovered a backpack that matched the one shown on the suspected suspect’s surveillance tape. Additionally, according to Bloomberg, the NYPD discovered a gray backpack that matched the one that Thompson’s attacker was carrying.

Following the incident, the suspect was spotted riding a bike through Central Park and left the park at 77th Street, according to NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny. Only Monopoly money and a Tommy Hilfiger jacket were found in the backpack, according to people familiar with the investigation. Shortly after the murder, authorities think the culprit fled New York City.
