Billionaire Elon Musk raised concerns on his X platform that Americans could see its last free election if former President Donald Trump is not elected in the upcoming presidential race against Vice President Kamala Harris. Musk claimed that Trump is the only candidate who can prevent the end of democracy, responding to a user who pointed out the Biden-Harris administration’s efforts to expedite citizenship for migrants.

Musk elaborated, suggesting that if even a small fraction of undocumented migrants were granted citizenship annually, the voting landscape in key swing states could be dramatically altered. He argued that, with around 2 million new legal voters within four years, these changes could eliminate swing states, tipping the balance in favor of the Democratic Party.
He also suggested that the Biden-Harris administration is strategically relocating asylum seekers to swing states such as Pennsylvania, Ohio, Wisconsin, and Arizona, positioning the Democratic Party for perpetual electoral victories.
Musk went further, claiming that the U.S. could become a one-party state if this trend continues, with Democratic primaries being the only meaningful elections left. He compared the situation to California’s political shift following the 1986 Immigration Reform and Control Act (IRCA), signed by then-President Ronald Reagan.

The law, which granted amnesty to certain undocumented immigrants, reportedly led to long-term changes in California’s political landscape. Musk warned that, under similar circumstances, no part of the U.S. would remain untouched by Democratic policies.
Musk’s warnings come amid other media discussions, including a surprising statement from CNN anchor Jake Tapper. Tapper remarked that Vice President Kamala Harris should increase her public presence, implying that former President Trump might have an advantage over her at this race stage.

He expressed surprise that Harris was not holding more events, particularly in key battleground states, just weeks before the election. Tapper’s comments led to a discussion with Democratic strategist Karen Finney, who acknowledged Harris’s current responsibilities but emphasized that the campaign’s activity would likely ramp up in the coming weeks.
