Mark Cuban is under scrutiny after removing several social media posts expressing support for Kamala Harris, following her loss to Trump in the 2024 presidential election. Conservative commentators first highlighted the removal of pro-Harris content, including the popular Libs of TikTok account, which posted that Mark Cuban is deleting a bunch of his pro-Kamala posts.
Cuban defended his actions, stating that he’s always returned and deleted tweets—for years. It’s the same with the 2020 election, the 2016 election, and other stuff. He also stated that we use the Wayback Machine if we really want to see them. However, this response has done little to quell critics, who argue that his pattern of post-election deletions only fuels speculation.

Chris Perruna, a financial analyst, stated in a remark on X that Mark Cuban is purging tweets. He must be this election’s biggest loser. Other commenters chimed in, with former Google and Amazon employee Sean McBride adding that Mark Cuban should have deactivated his account and Tiffany Fong noting that he had officially removed all of his X postings regarding Kamala Harris.

Cuban and Trump’s public feud, stretching over two decades, has involved personal attacks and political disagreements, intensifying during the 2024 presidential campaign. Cuban, a vocal supporter of Harris, previously criticized Trump for not surrounding himself with strong, intelligent women, insinuating that such individuals intimidate him. Trump retaliated by labeling Cuban as a really dumb guy and a major loser and countered Cuban’s claims by appointing his campaign co-chair, Susie Wiles, as the first female White House chief of staff, alongside nominating South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem as his DHS secretary.

Cuban has also been outspoken about his economic disagreements with Trump. In a September interview with Fox News, he criticized Trump’s tariff policies, describing widespread tariffs as insane and inflationary. Cubans supported strategic tariffs to counter dumping practices but argued that across-the-board tariffs burden American consumers.
Despite his support for Harris, Cuban’s stance diverged from some of her policies. He joined over 200 tech leaders to endorse Harris, lauding her understanding of entrepreneurship and her commitment to business growth. However, other economists criticized Harris’s financial proposals, such as offering certain homebuyers $25,000 in taxpayer assistance, warning that it would simply inflate home prices by that amount. Her proposal to impose price controls on food companies also drew criticism, with experts cautioning that this approach would harm the industry due to its low-profit margins.

Trump’s tariff strategy, which raised billions in revenue and led to the renegotiation of NAFTA into the more U.S.-favorable USMCA, remains a significant contrast to Cuban’s economic philosophy. The public clash between Cuban and Trump underscores a deeper divide in economic ideology, further intensifying their long-standing rivalry.
