House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer is moving forward with plans to create a new subcommittee dedicated to partnering with the recently established Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). This department, led by Elon Musk and 2024 GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, aims to combat government waste, sources told Fox News Digital.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) is set to lead the newly formed Delivering on Government Efficiency Subcommittee, which will focus on identifying and eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse within the federal government.

The subcommittee’s mission includes investigating wasteful spending, exploring methods to improve the efficiency of federal agencies, and cutting through bureaucratic red tape to streamline operations.

According to an insider, James Comer recently held discussions with Vivek Ramaswamy and his DOGE team. Ramaswamy confirmed the meeting with Comer and Greene to Fox News Digital, stating that addressing government inefficiency by exposing it to the public is a crucial step.

Comer stated that cooperation with Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy, and Rep. Greene reiterated her belief that the House Oversight Committee is the ideal platform for supporting DOGE’s mission, and she looks forward to collaborating with the Trump team, Musk, and Ramaswamy.
