Sen. JD Vance, a Republican running for vice president, says that Republicans are now a diverse party since he and former President Donald Trump have enlisted former Democrats Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Rep. Tulsi Gabbard from Hawaii.

The BBC reported that Vance said that the president had recently received endorsements from RFK and Tulsi Gabbard, as well as from Nikki Haley and Brian Kemp on the other side. He added that the president is seen as the leader of common sense in the country, noting that people are tired of being lied to and fed up with the craziness.

Vance also stated that the former president and RFK have some personal disagreements but emphasized that they’re both big enough to put the country over personal interests. He also talked about how he helped patch things up and supported Georgia Governor Brian Kemp, who disagreed with the departing president.

He additionally said that people across the political spectrum should recognize that Brian Kemp is willing to affirm that the party is a big tent, standing for common sense and sanity and that there is a need to remove the insane politician named Kamala Harris from the White House.

He shared that in his conversation with the Georgia governor, he expressed that he wasn’t going to persuade him to change his mind about the president, just as he wouldn’t convince the president to change his mind about the governor. However, he noted that they agreed on 90% of the issues and suggested that they could set aside their differences.
In an interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News, Kemp discussed the importance of party unity. The governor stressed to Hannity that winning across the entire ticket is crucial. He reiterated his longstanding message that four more years of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris would be disastrous, and he believes a Harris-Walz administration could be even worse. Kemp concluded by stating that the solution is to ensure Donald Trump returns to the White House.
