Former Clinton pollster Mark Penn sounded the alarm on the state of the Democratic Party, warning that it is “falling off a cliff” in the wake of President Donald Trump’s decisive victory and Republican dominance in Congress.

While speaking with Fox News’ Laura Ingraham, Penn provided a preview of upcoming polling data, highlighting a sharp decline in Democratic support. It was revealed that ratings, previously in the high 40s, were expected to drop to around 35 percent. It was further noted that when voters were asked who was performing better as president, Trump was leading Biden by a margin of 57% to 35%.

It was noted by Penn that voters were reassessing Biden’s presidency and the Democratic Party’s direction, particularly regarding key issues such as immigration, economic policy, and social policies. He further stated that such a shift had never been seen before, describing the Democratic Party’s favorability as reaching a record low, having declined significantly.

Political analyst and pollster Matt Towery reinforced Penn’s analysis, pushing back against media claims that Trump’s approval has taken a hit. He argued that mainstream pollsters have consistently misrepresented Trump’s numbers, while firms like Harris, InsiderAdvantage, and Trafalgar provide a more accurate picture.

It was stated by Towery that the Trump team was aware of the situation, anticipating efforts to portray him as suddenly becoming unpopular. It was further noted that attempts to create a divide between Trump and Elon Musk were being made, but these efforts were not proving successful.

It was also noted by Penn that Democrats were being criticized for targeting Elon Musk, highlighting the strong public support for reducing government spending and addressing waste. It was further stated that while Musk himself had a roughly even personal rating, the mission he was pursuing was seen as necessary for America.

It was agreed by Towery that misleading polling questions had been used in an attempt to undermine Musk’s influence. It was further stated that while the media had attempted to suggest that Republicans were distancing themselves from Musk, his support among GOP voters remained close to 79 or 80 percent. It was also noted that Musk was not posing a problem for Trump and that the efforts being made were proving effective. As Democratic support craters and voters realign on major issues, the party faces an uphill battle in regaining lost ground.
