Trump administration Border Czar Tom Homan delivered a strong message at CPAC, vowing to crack down on criminal illegal aliens and eliminate foreign migrant gangs designated as terrorist organizations. Homan, who previously led ICE and now leads Trump’s border enforcement efforts, reported a 95% reduction in illegal immigrant “gotaways” since Trump’s return. It was noted that while approximately 1,800 “gotaways” were recorded daily in 2023, only 48 were reported the previous day. Despite this significant decrease, Homan emphasized that even this reduced number remained too high.

Highlighting the early success of enforcement efforts, it was reported that ICE had already arrested 21,000 illegal aliens in Trump’s first month back in office. While expressing satisfaction with the progress, Homan emphasized that true satisfaction would only be achieved when every criminal alien, including gang members and members of groups like Tren de Aragua, were eradicated from the country and sent to Guantanamo Bay, where they belonged.

Despite the challenges ahead, Homan expressed gratitude toward federal law enforcement officers, particularly those in Border Patrol, ICE, and DOJ agencies. It was conveyed that deep appreciation was felt for those wearing the green uniform, with recognition given to their status as the finest 1% of the country. With Trump’s administration taking aggressive action, Homan’s message was clear—illegal criminal elements have nowhere to hide.
