Conservatives are intensifying their calls for Sen. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) to be held legally accountable for his prominent role in promoting the now-debunked narrative that President Donald Trump was a pawn of Russian President Vladimir Putin during his first term.

Schiff and many others in the media actively promoted the “Russian collusion” fiction for years, while the House, independent prosecutors, and prominent individuals like former FBI Director Robert Mueller and former U.S. Attorney John Durham conducted multiple investigations into it. While other investigations revealed a concerted attempt to discredit Trump with unfounded accusations in an attempt to undercut his foreign policy objectives and damage his presidency, all of these investigations found no evidence to back up the assertions.

In light of these revelations, many conservative voices are now calling on FBI Director Kash Patel and the Justice Department to hold Schiff and others accountable for promoting this dangerous hoax. Conservative influencer Nick Sorter took to his X account to highlight Schiff’s immunity on charges related to the Russia hoax.

A reminder was issued, clarifying that Adam Schiff was only pardoned for offenses related to the J6 committee and not for involvement in the Russia hoax, election interference, or any other matters. It was emphasized that Kash was determined to bring Schiff to justice, with a strong declaration that “The Hammer of Justice is coming” for the Congressman.

Former conservative broadcaster and Secret Service agent Dan Bongino, who was recently appointed by President Trump to serve as FBI Deputy Director, sent a pointed message to Schiff during one of his last broadcasts before the confirmation. Bongino took to the airwaves to express his outrage over the Russia collusion hoax, emphasizing its potential consequences for national security and international relations.

Bongino questioned why Adam Schiff seemed so concerned, urging a revisit of the Russia collusion hoax. He highlighted that, despite being years old, the hoax involved multiple entities, including the FBI, the Department of Justice, Congress, foreign governments, and intelligence officials, fabricating a narrative that had the potential to severely damage international relations, particularly with a nuclear-powered adversary. He emphasized that this was a matter of significant consequence.

Bongino made it clear that he would continue pressing the issue, stating that the matter would be crucial in the days ahead. He expressed determination to uncover the truth, emphasizing that such actions should never be allowed to happen again, regardless of political affiliation. He condemned the alteration of electoral politics through fabricated stories and the manipulation of the justice system to lend credibility to false narratives.

Bongino reinforced his point by referring to Adam Schiff as the “ringmaster” of the entire hoax. His commitment to holding Schiff accountable was emphasized, with no intention of letting the matter go. Schiff recently made headlines for taking the highly unusual step of traveling to FBI headquarters in Washington, D.C., to express his disapproval of President Trump’s choice of Patel as the new FBI Director, just hours before the Senate confirmed Patel’s appointment.

Schiff’s actions sparked a wave of commentary from conservatives, including Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, who pointed out that Schiff’s public outbursts indicated his anxiety over Patel’s leadership, especially considering Patel’s role in exposing the ‘Trump-Russia collusion’ hoax and Schiff’s complicity in perpetuating the lie.
