Federal Judge Drops the Hammer, Blocks Unconstitutional Law

This year, the Supreme Court has been standing up to the states with the deepest blue political leanings. Recent events have resulted in the overturning of a statute that restricted people’s freedoms and the restoration of a fundamental right.

But almost soon after that, the far-left governor of the state collaborated with state Democrats to enact a law that was much more oppressive. It is not necessary to be an expert in the law in order to recognize that the state was flagrantly defying the supreme court of the land.

A federal judge today issued a ruling that severely undermines this left-leaning law. Wow, this is a significant setback for New York’s and other governments’ efforts to nullify the Second Amendment’s protections for citizens’ right to keep and bear arms. The decision handed down by the Supreme Court invalidated a law in the state of New York that made obtaining a permit to carry a concealed weapon extremely difficult for residents.

The verdict of the court put a stop to the state’s policy of refusing permit applications. Which would have led to a significant number of law-abiding New Yorkers obtaining licenses to carry concealed weapons and being much safe. The state legislature, which is dominated by Democrats, and the governor, who is a Democrat, hastened to pass a new version of their bill, which effectively made every part of the state a gun-free zone.

This appeared to be an obvious breach of the ruling made by the Supreme Court, which affirmed the right of Americans to possess firearms. The majority of this new law was struck down by the federal court, and the officials from New York state have only three days to react to the ruling. The state’s attempt to ban weapons in most public areas, including on public transportation and in events, was one among the several restrictions that the court ruled down as unconstitutional.

Additionally, the court has ruled that individuals who have been taken with the duty to protect the peace are permitted to carry firearms inside houses of worship. If New York Democrats had gotten their way, the congregation would have been defenseless in the event that a shooter entered the building. This is a big loss for Democrats who support stricter gun control laws, and it may signify a major shift in attitudes across the country.
