Border Chief Accuses Biden Under Oath

Since  President Joe Biden ordered the construction of the wall along the southern border to be halted, the government has been under fire for its lenient stance toward immigration, according to critics.

In the past few years, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has recorded a soaring number of arrests and confrontations, and even world leaders are indicating that Biden just doesn’t appear to care about the situation.

Now we have what is maybe the most devastating claim that has been made thus far, and it comes from a Border Patrol official while they are testifying under oath.

A continuing legal action against the Chief of the Border Patrol, Raul Ortiz, has been initiated by the Attorney General of Florida, Ashley Moody. This lawsuit targets the Department of Homeland Security and various border agencies for their perceived lack of response to the issue.

And in a recorded deposition, Ortiz was very clear about the cause of this catastrophe, which he attributed to the policies enacted by the Biden administration. Ortiz, who has been in law enforcement for more than 31 years, has shared his belief with attorneys in Florida that the pace of illegal immigration will increase at an exponential rate. This is due to the fact that he claims there are absolutely no consequences.

One of the attorneys requested Ortiz to elaborate on the following point: if migrants believe they would easily be freed, then a greater number of migrants will seek to enter the country illegally, correct?

After Ortiz said that he did believe this to be correct, the attorney from Florida pressed him further with questions pertaining to the immigration policies of the Biden administration. They were interested in finding out whether or not this was a factor that contributed directly to the catastrophe.

The Spring 2021 memo is the document that they were referring to when they made this statement. It was this memo that disclosed Biden’s immigration policies, which critics argue are to blame for the spike at the border.

The complaint filed by Moody asserts that the letter, combined with Biden’s document titled Alternatives to Detention, has directly contributed to the situation that has developed at our southern border. This, in turn, has led to significant problems with security. The attorneys are attempting to provide evidence that the relevant government entities are not adhering to federal law, most notably the Immigration and Nationality Act.

This requires that officials stop illegal passengers at the border, which many argue is simply not occurring right now owing to a lack of barriers and staff. As a result, this demands that officials stop unlawful travelers at the border. The “Remain in Mexico” policy that had been implemented during the Trump administration was likewise halted.

However, just recently, we’ve noticed some resistance from the judicial system. For instance, the Supreme Court only just decided that the Remain in Mexico campaign cannot be abandoned, but Republican leaders are still pushing for action.

The testimony of Ortiz is without a doubt a bombshell in Washington, as the fact that she openly accused the administration of President Joe Biden while she was under oath is a significant step. The question that needs to be answered right now is whether or not this will become an even more prominent issue when the midterm elections take place in November.
