Florida Just Blew Away the Competition

The past few years have witnessed what can only be described as great reporting. A significant number of citizens of the United States are leaving blue states in search of others that have fewer restrictions or lower costs of living.

But if they could live anywhere they wanted, where do you think Americans would choose to call home? You might picture a bustling metropolis full of bright lights. Or perhaps a location that offers a large number of employment opportunities. A recent survey found that the majority of respondents would call the Sunshine State home.

The location that earned the most votes overall was Florida, which was one of the options in the poll. In general, the vast majority of Americans do not desire to live in large, urban areas, but rather in more bucolic settings that are far far from the mayhem of metropolitan areas. Florida won the competition, besting its competitors in New York, Pennsylvania, Illinois, and California. This shouldn’t come as a shock.

The state is well-known for its beaches and the warm weather it enjoys throughout the year. In recent years, Governor Ron DeSantis has been doing an outstanding job of shielding the state from the extremist left. All of this transpires in the wake of criticism leveled at the state of Florida by the Governor of California, Gavin Newsom. He made the outlandish argument that Florida was depriving Americans of their constitutional rights.

In his speech, Newsom claimed that his state was more effective than others in safeguarding our liberties. Right. I take it that this is the same state that has locked up people for years, pushed Biden’s mandates, ignored rising crime rates, and welcomed millions of immigrants who crossed the border illegally. That Florida is the most desired state to live in shouldn’t come as a surprise to anyone. In point of fact, it has been the most visited state throughout this period of resorting.

A significant number of people in the United States are relocating to Florida from other states and cities, including California, New York, and Illinois referring to Chicago. Americans are liberated from the confines of urban areas such as New York City and San Francisco by the advent of remote employment, which experienced explosive growth throughout the year 2020. They are able to maintain their standard of living while still residing in desirable locations.
