Manchin’s Bankroll Closet Swings Open
The nation was taken aback when Joe Manchin broke his word and voted in favor of Joe Biden’s massive spending and tax legislation. Manchin’s claim that he was looking out for the people back in West Virginia allowed him to go against Biden’s socialist agenda for a considerable amount of time.

But is Manchin truly concerned about the health and happiness of his constituents? As things stand, it appears that he may be answering to other people. What a fascinating topic. For a long time, Manchin has maintained that his opposition to Biden’s agenda was for the benefit of West Virginia. However, it appears that the overwhelming majority of his contributions come from actual residents of West Virginia.
Only one percent of his significant donations came from residents of the state in which he was elected. The vast majority of it was donated by third parties, most notably by businesses. This brings up a very important question: is Manchin more concerned with the interests of large donors or the interests of the state of West Virginia? West Virginia is a solidly red state that strongly supports Donald Trump. Manchin has escaped death by a razor’s edge on multiple occasions. This is due to the fact that he has repeatedly bucked to the left.
But it’s possible that liberals have poured an excessive amount of money into his campaign coffers this year. And as a result, he is now more likely to comply with their demands. But we do find it unusual that he would sign off on a plan that will hit the fossil fuel industry, especially considering that coal is West Virginia’s primary economic driver. Additionally, Manchin expressed his opposition to the idea of increasing taxes. Why, then, does he support a bill that will almost certainly result in an increase in the amount of taxes paid by all Americans?
