White House Accused of the “Least Transparency in 50 Years”
When it became public knowledge that President Joe Biden had a positive test result for COVID, virtually everyone was left with questions. What kind of symptoms did he have? Where does he believe he got a hold of it? What kind of treatment are the doctors providing? The White House, on the other hand, has evaded the majority of these questions and has only stated that the symptoms are mild.

However, according to one White House correspondent, that is not sufficient, and he expressed his annoyance in a public manner. The nation’s chief physician will typically issue a statement to the press in the event that the President suffers from any kind of physical ailment, be it an illness or an accident. Over the course of many years, Americans have come to anticipate this.
Even if it’s something relatively inconsequential, like spraining an ankle or coming down with a bad cold, the doctor to the President of the United States is typically quick to offer a few comments about the situation. However, Dr. Kevin O’Connor, who serves as Biden’s personal physician, is currently nowhere to be found. This is the issue that has many members of the press, including the correspondent for the White House, George Condon, concerned. He was curious as to the reason why the chief physician has not issued any statement whatsoever since Biden was diagnosed.
The press secretary for the White House, Karine Jean-Pierre, issued a response in which she stated that she wholly disagrees with this statement. In spite of the fact that some detractors are asserting that there is nothing to “disagree” with, it is a generally acknowledged fact that the President’s physician is expected to make public statements regarding the condition of the Commander-in-Chief.

Jean-Pierre contends that they are adhering to the recommendations of the CDC in order to guarantee that there is minimal contact with the president. However, we are not entirely sure how this relates to his physician. Since President Biden took office, transparency has emerged as one of the most pressing concerns for the people of the United States as well as the media. White House correspondent Condon is not the first journalist to criticize the current administration for having an alarming lack of transparency.
Reporters have pointed out that the President is unwilling to take questions, and they have also criticized his general absence from the public eye. Many people have the impression that the leader of the country only shows up long enough to make a few comments and then he and his staff retreat to a safe location to avoid further scrutiny. According to the opinions of some journalists, questions and follow-ups are frequently cut off. Now that Biden has been diagnosed with COVID, it would only make sense for his doctor to make a statement on the matter; Condon and others simply want to know why this hasn’t already taken place.
