Biden’s Middle East Trip Goes Off the Rails

When Joe Biden made the announcement that he was going to Saudi Arabia, he received criticism from every angle. Even American energy companies criticized him for pleading with the Saudis to give him oil, despite the fact that we have plenty of it here. It seems that the trip lived up to your worst expectations. It all began with a humiliating “fist bump” that enraged everyone in the room.

And after everything that had happened, Republican Senator Cotton did a really good job of summarizing the disastrous trip. During his time as a presidential candidate, Joe Biden made the statement that he would make Saudi Arabia the “pariah” of the world. But here we are, a few years later, and Biden is going to the country to beg for oil, despite the fact that we have plenty of oil that isn’t even being drilled for.

Criticizing the crown prince for his role in Khashoggi’s death was Biden’s attempt to assuage the concerns of liberals and the media in the United States. But Saudi leaders lowered Biden to the lowest possible level by turning the accusations against him. The United States of America has been ridiculed by a Muslim nation that has few civil rights granted to citizens and which mocked the United States for its violations of “human rights.”

That is meant to be funny. And no genuine leader of the United States would have been willing to tolerate such an insult. If those pretenses had been presented to President Trump, he would not have lingered there for another minute. And he would have gladly left, knowing that he didn’t require oil from Saudi Arabia. However, President Biden continued to cower before the Saudi rulers because he is dependent on them to pump more oil.

Because he wants to keep the peace with environmental extremists,  President Biden will not lift restrictions on oil production in the United States. However, he can’t be too friendly with the Saudis or the liberal media will get angry at him. However, because he is dependent on the Saudis for the supply of oil, he is unable to stand up to them. Oh man, Cotton was absolutely correct. This situation truly embodied the worst of both possible worlds. If only we had a president who had some intestinal fortitude.
