California Governor Targets 2nd Amendment
It’s possible that Joe Biden’s plan to restrict access to firearms won’t get very far in Congress. Nevertheless, this has not prevented blue states from exerting as much pressure as they possibly can against the Second Amendment. The ability of the states to restrict the right of Americans to carry firearms was ruled unconstitutional by the Supreme Court. However, there is at least one liberal state that is taking legal action against those who manufacture firearms.

California recently passed a series of laws that will further complicate the process by which Americans purchase firearms. This is despite the fact that federal standards for the manufacture and sale of firearms are already in place. The laws impose new responsibilities on firearm manufacturers and open the door for legal action against them as a result.
The bottom line is that if these laws are followed, and a gun is used in a crime, the state will have grounds to file a lawsuit against the gun manufacturer. Why should the manufacturer of a firearm be held liable for the actions of a felon? Good question!
In all honesty, this has nothing to do with reducing criminal activity or keeping dangerous individuals from obtaining firearms (since there is always a black market).
The Democrats’ goal in all of this is to punish gun manufacturers in the hopes of discouraging them from continuing to produce and sell firearms. When the government gets involved in private industry in any way, it makes it that much more difficult for businesses to turn a profit. When a state imposes new requirements on an entire sector of the economy, that sector will suffer as a result.

Do not believe that this will remain confined to the state of California. Manufacturers of firearms will be required to demonstrate compliance with these regulations if they wish to maintain a presence in the state’s commercial marketplace. In practice, this indicates that every citizen in the country who abides by the law will be required to deal with these laws.
The rest of the country has been harmed by socialist California’s aggressive and anti-business policies before, and it won’t be the last time it happens. They consistently pass stringent laws that are detrimental to businesses, which in turn are detrimental to everyone else. Except that there are lawsuits filed to challenge these laws.
