Biden Considers Giving Major Handout to “Fix” Gas Prices
The majority of industry experts are in agreement that Biden needs to alter his energy policies in order to bring down the price of gasoline. However, he is adamantly opposed to doing that one thing in particular. Instead, he is proposing “solutions” for the short term that will in no way result in permanent reductions in gas prices. He suggested suspending the gas tax, which would result in a few cents worth of price reductions; however, after the midterm elections, prices would go back up to their previous levels. But Democrats weren’t even interested in that at all.

Heaven forbid the Democrats should ever lower or eliminate a tax! Therefore, Biden is considering providing yet another handout at the expense of the American taxpayer. Now, President Biden wants to spend even more money by disseminating “rebate cards” to assist Americans in paying for gasoline. Are you serious, Joe? How exactly will increase the amount of money spent by taxpayers benefit the taxpayer? Wouldn’t it be more effective to bring down the price of gas to help out American citizens?
There are multiple issues with the choice that Biden has made. To begin, you can expect your rebates to arrive in the form of a card or a check. Neither of these options can be designed to stop people in the United States from spending their money on things other than gas. So… this is yet another senseless “stimulus” that runs the potential risk of contributing to inflation.
Second, some people believe that since there is currently a shortage of chips, it will be impossible for Biden to carry out this plan because he will not have the materials necessary to create the playing cards. Then there is the reality that in order for him to spend this money, he will require approval from the congressional body. Which will create even more challenges for Americans, who are already having a hard time making ends meet. To think that all he needs to do is let companies drill on federal land again would be a huge accomplishment.
